Bohemian Rhapsody – Spirit Productions

The show which features the music of Freddie Mercury and Queen was conceived by international producer and “Secret Millionaire” David King of Spirit Productions and his award winning production team. DSVP were asked to produce a short promo of the show for the Spirit Productions website to showcase the production to potential promoters and buyers.

The filming took place during the week of the show’s world premiere at the Theatre Royal Newcastle (one of the most beautiful theatres in the country. DS.) With  a cast including ex G4 Singer Jonathan Ansell, Simon Bowman, Erin Cornell, Victoria Hamilton-Barritt, Andrew Derbyshire, Duncan Heather, Lucinda Shaw and Rachael Wooding, who between them have appeared in over 15 top London West End musicals, supported by 8 energetic dancers and an amazing 5 piece band, it was hardly surprising that the show was so well received.

Following the filming, post production was completed at DSVP by David Strelitz, assisted by Lynda Barber from Spirit Productions, liasing closely with David King via the internet.

David was then asked to produce a longer version for promoters who wanted to see more of the show. David King commented, “I really like this longer version as it totally captures the feel of the show”.
